Douglas Williamson

Douglas Williamson is currently the Wildlife and Protected Area Management Officer at the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO). Within the Forestry Department, he is responsible for the reactivation of the wildlife and protected areas programme, including design of biennial work plans for regular programme and project planning and funding. Prior to this, he was the Director of the King Khalid Wildlife Research Centre, National Commision for Wildlife Conservation and Development in Saudi Arabia. Dr. Williamson holds a PhD in Zoology for the University of Natal, South Africa.
