Robert Watson
Robert Watson is currently the Chief Scientist for the World Bank and the Director of Environmentally and Socially Sustainable Development, where he is charged with developing a multi-sectoral science and technology strategy for poverty alleviation and development. Prior to this, he was a member of the Clinton-Gore White House as the Associate Director for Environment (a Senate-confirmed position), responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of the US multi-agency environmental research program. Dr. Watson has won several awards including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Climate Protection Award. He holds a PhD from Queen Mary College at London University. |
