Farouk Tebbal
Farouk Tebbal is currently Chief, Shelter Branch in UN-HABITAT where he is in charge of the management of the Global Campaign for Secure Tenure, one of the two global campaigns of UN-HABITAT as well as the normative and operational activities of the Branch, including: Housing Policy and Land and Tenure systems. Prior to this, he was the General Secretary and Minister of Housing of Algeria, and has hold various other positions in housing, urban development, planning, management and construction engineering. Farouk Tebbal holds a civil engineering degree from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, Paris, France as well as a Master of Sciences in Structural Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. |
