Paulo Renata Souza

Paulo Renata Souza is presently the Minister of Education of the Federal Government of Brazil. Prior to this, he was Operations Manager for the Inter-American Development Bank and served as President of the State University of Campinas. Dr. Souza has also worked with the ILO and UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean. He holds a PhD in Economics from the State University of Campinas.

As of Jan 1, 2007, the advisory work formerly carried out by the Millennium Project secretariat team is being continued by an MDG Support team integrated under the United Nations Development Program.
