Anil Soni

Anil Soni is currently advisor to the Executive Director of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. Prior to this, he was a consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he served the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Botswana Ministry of Health as well as the Global Fund from February 2002. His background in public health also includes HIV/AIDS clinical research and work at the White House Office of National AIDS Policy. Mr. Soni has worked for NGOs in West Africa and the Middle East. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Harvard University.

As of Jan 1, 2007, the advisory work formerly carried out by the Millennium Project secretariat team is being continued by an MDG Support team integrated under the United Nations Development Program.
