Steven W. Sinding

Steven W. Sinding is Director-General of the International Planned Parenthood Federation, headquartered in London. He directs a global federation of 147 affiliates operating programs in 180 countries, and six regional offices around the world. , Dr. Sinding has also served as Director of the Population Sciences program at the Rockefeller Foundation, and Senior Population Adviser to the World Bank. Dr. Sinding received his bachelor's degree from Oberlin College and his Ph.D. in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

As of Jan 1, 2007, the advisory work formerly carried out by the Millennium Project secretariat team is being continued by an MDG Support team integrated under the United Nations Development Program.
