Guido Schmidt-Traub

Guido Schmidt-Traub is Associate Director at the Millennium Project where he manages the work on infrastructure, environmental sustainability, urban development, and science and technology. He also coordinates the development of tools for MDG needs assessments and oversees the Project's advisory work in several focus countries.

Previously, Guido was a Partner at IndexIT Scandinavia, a strategic advisor for technology companies and concurrently managed an investment fund for European technology companies. Prior to that he worked on assignments as an environmental economist. Guido holds a MPhil in Economics from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar, and has a Masters in physical chemistry from the Free University Berlin.

As of Jan 1, 2007, the advisory work formerly carried out by the Millennium Project secretariat team is being continued by an MDG Support team integrated under the United Nations Development Program.
