Robert Scherpbier
Robert Scherpbier has experience in public health as a policy maker, programme developer, implementer, manager and generalist clinician. His interests are linking health outcomes and rational systems development through priority setting, improving routine management and health management information systems.
He works on health systems in the Child and Adolescent Health and Development Department of the World Health Organization (WHO) and is the child health focal point for the Western Pacific Region. Previously, he worked at the Stop TB Department in WHO and the Ministry of Health, Ghana. He is a visiting lecturer at the University of Brescia, Italy and examination board member at the Netherlands Royal Tropical Institute (KIT). He trained in medicine in The Netherlands and in public health in Belgium and the USA. |
