Zafar Mirza

Zafar Mirza is the Executive Director of the Network for Consumer Protection in Pakistan. He also serves on the WHO Scientific Advisory Group on Globalization and Health, and is the co-author of a recently launched joint publication of WTO and WHO on "WTO Agreements and Public Health". Prior to this, he served as WHO Adviser and held several important international consultancies on credit. Dr. Mirza has also worked as a medical officer in several rural areas of Pakistan. He holds a medical degree.

As of Jan 1, 2007, the advisory work formerly carried out by the Millennium Project secretariat team is being continued by an MDG Support team integrated under the United Nations Development Program.
