Rodrigo A. Medellín

Rodrigo A. Medellín is the Director of the Program for Conservation of Bats in Mexico, coordinator of the Latin American Bat Conservation Initiative, and advisor of the Mexican Government for wildlife issues. He is also Professor of Ecology at the University of Mexico, North America representative and was recently elected vice-Chair of the CITES Animals Committee. Prior to this, Rodrigo was head of the Wildlife Department of the Mexican Federal Government for 1995-96. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Mexico, he obtained his PhD from the University of Florida.
