Karen Oppenheim Mason
Karen Oppenheim Mason is the World Bank's Director of Gender and Development. In this capacity, she is responsible for promoting the mainstreaming of gender issues in the Bank's operational work and acting as the Bank's spokesperson on gender and development issues. Prior to joining the World Bank, Dr. Mason was Director of the Program on Population at the Eat-West Center. She was also elected President of the Population Association of America. Dr. Mason earned her PhD in Sociology at the University of Chicago. |
