Tony Marjoram

Dr Marjoram is the Programme Specialist responsible for engineering and related matters at the Division of Basic and Engineering Sciences in the Science Sector of UNESCO. Prior to moving to Paris he was the Programme Specialist for Engineering, Technology and Informatics at the UNESCO regional office for science and technology in SE Asia in Jakarta. Dr Marjoram joined UNESCO in 1993, before that he was a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne and has also worked at the Universities of the South Pacific and Manchester. He has a background in mechanical engineering, science and technology policy and has broad interests relating to engineering, education, technology and development.

As of Jan 1, 2007, the advisory work formerly carried out by the Millennium Project secretariat team is being continued by an MDG Support team integrated under the United Nations Development Program.
