Yuanli Liu

Yuanli Liu is the Assistant Professor of International Health at Harvard School of Public Health. With a training background in public health and economics, Dr. Liu has been teaching health economics and financing at Harvard since 1995. Dr. Liu has conducted extensive studies on health equity and health system reforms in developing countries, particularly in China. His analytical work on access to basic health care services by the uninsured helped shape China's new rural health policies. Dr. Liu served as a coordinator of the Global Health Equity Initiative (GHEI), and he is currently a member of the Coordinating Committee of the Global Equity Gauge Alliance (GEGA), an international NGO, dedicated to monitoring/measuring, advocacy, and community empowerment for advancing health equity in the world.
