Joan-Ramon Laporte

Joan-Ramon Laporte is Professor of Clinical Pharmacology of the Autonomous University of Barcelona.. He is also Head of the Service of Clinical Pharmacology at the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital (Barcelona) and Director of the Foundation Institut Català de Farmacologia. (WHO Collaborating Centre for Research and Training in Pharmacoepidemiology). He has been temporary adviser for the World Health Organization, UNICEF and the World Bank in 34 countries. He was recently appointed as a member of the WHO Expert Committee on Essential Drugs. Dr. Laporte is also the current editor-in-chief of a bulletin on drug and therapeutics information and on drug safety, and he is member of the Scientific Committee or the Editorial Board of several international publications.
