Cesar Gomes Victora

Cesar Gomes Victora is currently of a Professor of Epidemiology at the Universidade Federal de Pelotas, Brazil. He is also Head, WHO Collaborating Centre for Nutrition in the area of Maternal and Child Nutrition at the Universidade Federal de Pelotas and Senior Technical Advisor, Multi-Country Evaluation of the Integrated Management of Childhood Illness Strategy, Division of Child Health and Development at the World Health Organization. He holds an MD from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and a PhD from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

As of Jan 1, 2007, the advisory work formerly carried out by the Millennium Project secretariat team is being continued by an MDG Support team integrated under the United Nations Development Program.
