David Evans

David Evans is the Director of the Global Programme on Evidence for Health Policy at WHO, with responsibility for collecting evidence and reporting on the burden of disease by cause, the costs and effects of interventions to reduce burden and their impact on population health, and the responsiveness and fairness of financial contributions of health systems. The Programme is also actively engaged in policy dialogue and capacity building with the aim of improving the health of populations and the performance of health systems. Dr. Evans has worked at the WHO since 1990.

As of Jan 1, 2007, the advisory work formerly carried out by the Millennium Project secretariat team is being continued by an MDG Support team integrated under the United Nations Development Program.
