Jennifer Chiwela

Jennifer Chiwela is the co-founder and Executive Director of the People's Action Forum, an indigenous non-governmental organization established to assist capacity building of rural communities through both formal and non-formal education. Through the organisation's programme activities, Ms. Chiwela has become actively involved in the Educational for All initiative - taking part, with other NGOs, in the national assessment process in 1999. Ms. Chiwela also participated in both the International Consultation of NGOs/CSOs and the World Education Forum in Dakar, Senegal. Prior to this, Ms. Chiwela served in the Zambian government as the Chairperson of the Zambia Teaching Service Commission.

As of Jan 1, 2007, the advisory work formerly carried out by the Millennium Project secretariat team is being continued by an MDG Support team integrated under the United Nations Development Program.
