Jorge Bermudez

Jorge Bermudez is the Director of Escola Nacional se Saude Publica (FIOCRUZ), Brazil. During the last 15 years he has been involved in discussions and research works on National Medicines Policies and access to medicines. He has been Director of FarManguinhos and Instituto Vital Brazil, public manufacturers in Brazil, has integrated the Brazilian Delegation to the last World Health assemblies and has been responsible for the discussions that have led to the approval of WHA Resolutions dealing with ensuring accessibility of essential medicines. He has published several books and papers dealing with access to medicines. Dr. Bermudez is a Medical Doctor, Master Degree in Tropical Medicine and PhD in Public Health.
