Kumaraiah Balasubramaniam

Kumaraiah Balasubramaniam is an Advisor and the Coordinator of Health Action International Asia-Pacific. Past appointments have included Pharmaceutical Advisor, Consumers International Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific in Penang, Malaysia from 1987-2001. He served as Senior Pharmaceutical Advisor to both the Caribbean Community Secretariat in Georgetown Guyana from 1983 to 1986 and to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in Geneva from 1978 to 1983. From 1975 through 1978, he was an Associate Professor at the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka. Dr. Balasubramaniam received a M.B.B.S. (Ceylon) and a Ph.D. from Manchester in the UK.
